Who said it better – you decide

The Chronicles have acquired a sterling reputation for journalistic excellence and impartiality, untainted by corporate or political influence and immune to the vacillations of popular opinion.  Nonetheless, we welcome feedback of all sorts.  Perhaps even more than the adulation we have become accustomed to receiving from our legions of supporters, we welcome critique, as it is the only way to ensure that The Chronicles remain the standard-bearing, shining beacon atop the proverbial hilltop, like an Olympic torch of leadership for all news media.

With the above in mind, we ask our loyal (and disloyal) readers to answer a simple question:

Who said it better?

In what might become a regular feature of The Chronicles, we pit two videos against each other in head-to-head, no holds barred combat.  Our inaugural contest pits Milwaukee police chief Edward Flynn’s eloquent and powerful response addressing critics in wake of a recent controversial shooting in the blue corner, versus Rob Hustle’s “This is What Happens When You Call the Cops” music video, which, for reasons that will become abundantly clear upon viewing, presents a much different take on law enforcement that can fairly be described as ‘real,’ in the red corner.

Watch the videos, and take the poll below to vote who makes their point better.

(Full disclosure: Ed Flynn was featured in a recent Chronicle. But Rob Hustle’s song is actually not bad, and the video is bound to get a reaction. Plus he’s from Monterey, a place with some relation to ye olde Chronicles…)

The Blue Corner

And in the Red Corner

Who said it better?
